A Quick stop in Toronto!
I flew from Vancouver to Toronto for yet another wedding, but was really excited for this one, since it was a relationship I was privileged to be part of from it’s inception and am very good friends with both sides of the couples. Alessia and Adam’s wedding was going to be epic and I was excited to get the weekend started.
I landed on Friday, so things got going pretty quick. Angelo’s brother (you might remember Angelo from our adventures in Seoul.) and drove us to his hotel where I dropped my stuff and he had a nap.
A long time ago Alessia had told me that her wedding was going to be the day before Canada day and therefore would be a red and silver themed wedding and for some reason I still do not entirely understand myself, I told her that I would wear a red and silver suit to her wedding. So when I was in China in November, I had a red suit custom made with silver accents and then delivered it to a friend who was supposed to meet up with another friend to bring me the suit. Unfortunately the meet up never happened, so I met up with another friend who works in Toronto for lunch where he brought me the suit!
I then ran some last minute errands for the bride and groom and then met Angelo and Priya at one of their friends Breweries.
We then headed to another bar where I had created a facebook event for any of those people coming in from out of town, that needed something to do.
Before I knew it we had a little group of people together that continued to grow. It ended up being a great evening with a lot of people I hadn’t seen in while attending!
Great night out and a great night before what was probably going to be an even better night of the wedding.
The next morning was pretty chill just prepping for the wedding.
It was a beauty wedding and I would be lying if i said that I wasn’t holding back tears during parts of the ceremony.
After the ceremony, we headed back to the reception hall where I was in charge of setting up the photo booth. The set up was a little complicated and did not work as expected right away, but eventually we figured everything out and made it happen. By the end of the night though, the camera battery died and we ended up just using the front facing camera on the ipad, which worked decently well considering.
Here is a photo of me wearing my suit with the bride and groom!
The wedding was super fun and everyone had a great time. The next morning the bride and groom hosted a brunch in the Hotel and we all got back together for some delicious food, good people and day drinking.
It was Canada day after all, so we decided to make the canadian flag with our wine!
This was also the day that the news broke that JOHN TAVARES IS A TORONTO MAPLE LEAF!!!!
Being in Toronto at a brunch with a lot of Leafs fans, made this even more fun!
After brunch, we headed to a friends place to celebrate Canada day!
We had a lot of fun just hanging out and enjoying some solid Canadian Beer!
After a super fun Canada day, it was time to head back to Niagara and prepare for my next adventure! The United Kingdom and Ireland! But first, there was some beer drinking to be done in San Diego!
We had a BBQ at a high school friends house and chilled. The next day I had lunch with my parents, sister and Niece and the next morning I was off to San Diego for the annual EBBR brewery weekend!
Up next a weekend of Breweries in San Diego!
